The Duke of Chill!

this blog has gone to the dogs!  EDIT: DUKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!!

as many of you know, i’ve been fostering over the last few months.  i’ve always wanted a dog and let’s face it, i have a hard time committing to dinner.  fostering has been absolutely amazing.. i get so save a little life, make a future family happy and I get my snuggles.  i’m new at this so can’t claim to be an expert by any means, but even what i’ve learned from these little guys has been so so rewarding.  each one has their own personality, strong points and things they need to work on and it’s such a cool challenge to get to know them and work with them.  there aren’t too many “jobs” you can have that reward you in kisses and snuggles.  i’m completely hooked!

PS.  Roscoe is at another foster home and still available for adoption!!

meet my  newest foster, Duke!  he is about a year old and still a floppy puppy. we’re not sure what he is.. probably a mix of stafforshire terrier and his profile looks a little like an American Bulldog.  he has a short, long body with a blocky head a slightly longer and thicker coat.  his paws are still too big for his body, so there’s a good chance he’s going to keep growing quite a bit!  Duke also has the prettiest golden eyes!  he is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots.  he is house broken,  crate trained and we are currently working on basic commands.  he picked up on sit and down in just a few tries!  we’re working on stay and off-leash commands this week and is learning recall quickly.  he loves going for walks and is great on the leash.  he is CHILL!!  he’s happy to romp around outside and loves playing with other dogs, but in the house he is a total couch potato and is happy to nap and munch on his Kong.

if you’re looking for a well behaved, chill, sweet low energy boy, look no further.. Duke is your guy!  Contact Mid Atlantic Bully Buddies to apply.
